TEAM: Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL)

PLAYER: Martin Straka

STYLE: Road

YEAR: 1999-00 (third set) & 2000-01 (preseason set)

SIZE: 50

MANUFACTURER: Pro Player

FABRIC: Air-knit

NOTES: "NHL2000" patch sewn on right-chest. Pro Player logo and NHL shield are embroidered on rear hem, but the Pro Player logo is covered by a sewn-on piece of material. This was done by the team's equipment manager, as this final set of 1999-00 jerseys was recycled for use during the 2000-01 preseason as well. (The NHL switched its jersey supplier back to CCM in 2000-01.) Jersey shows evidence of a sewn-on alternate captain's "A" having been removed from the left-chest area and replaced with the current "A", which is attached with double-sided tape. Photo evidence shows that this swap was performed during the 2000-01 preseason, presumably so that the "A" could be shared with other players for preseason games in which Straka did not participate. Nice wear throughout with many heavy stick marks, some board burns, and a number of unrepaired burn holes. Photo-matched to multiple game photos from both the 1999-00 playoffs and the 2000-01 preseason.
